Robustness through diversity principles( time, antenna, frequency) To increase transmission robustness, diversity methods with varying levels of effectiveness are used. Time diversity uses repeated transmission in half duplex mode, but it increases latency and reduces the net data rate. Antenna diversity uses multiple spatially separated antennas in full duplex mode, but is limited by mechanical offset, rotation, and motion due to correlated signal paths.
NearFi uses frequency diversity in which data is transmitted in parallel across separate frequency bands. This increases resistance to frequency-selective interference. When combined with directional near-field coupling, this results in a locally confined transmission channel with high immunity to interference and low susceptibility to position changes, motion, and environmental variations.
Automatic coupling without wireless planning NearFi paths couple automatically within the specified operating range. A built-in alignment aid indicates the optimal coupling position, while the illuminated LED ring on the housing makes it clear when the device is ready for operation, even in hardto-reach installation locations. Since NearFi does not require traditional wireless cell planning and operates without IP addresses, device IDs, or device

description files, integration can be accomplished without any configuration or programming. This significantly reduces the effort required for integration and configuration, particularly in applications that involve frequent tool changes or changing coupling partners.
