White paper | Contactless Power and Data Transmission with NearFi Technology
Classification and overview
NearFi – contactless power and data transmission NearFi is an industrial near-field communication technology that operates in the 60 GHz band. It transmits Ethernet data without contact and in real time through an air gap or even through non-metallic materials. In addition, NearFi transmits power inductively in the kHz range.
The combination of locally limited coupling, high bandwidth, and system-level latency-free communication enables robust, coexisting, and scalable connections for automation interfaces that are moving, rotating, or difficult to access.
