From classic to digital building automation
Classic building automation is conventionally divided into three hierarchy levels , namely the field , automation , and management levels that exchange data and information over networks . The various trades are coupled with standardized communication protocols . This generally does not involve an integral planning . Smart Buildings are the result of integral planning across trades and a task‐oriented organization of the building automation . In combination with cloud‐based solutions , digitalization and the Internet of Things ( IoT ) enable new approaches to solutions as well as the use of artificial intelligence ( AI ) for controlling and regulating buildings . Networking smart , communicative sensors and actuators and IoT‐capable controllers
enables secure data exchange between plants and systems throughout all trades . At the same time , cloud‐based building and area management is also possible . Through Emalytics , we provide a framework that is fit for the future . The system consists of hardware and software and supports the principle of integral planning , which results in comprehensive solutions for Smart Buildings . Process control is networked across all levels , including the integration of third‐party services such as e‐mobility or photovoltaics . For the migration to digitalization , we make it possible to network data from all trades with the IoT‐capable ILC 2050 BI controller . The various bus and network protocols , e . g . KNX , BACnet , Modbus , M‐Bus , and
others , are standardized into a uniform data object . There is also the option to integrate IP‐based smart devices . The migration strategy of Emalytics makes it possible to merge different technologies .
